HIGH POINT – The Concord High School Fire Academy program will hold a “wet down” ceremony on Friday to dedicate and take possession of a 1973 American LaFrance fire engine formerly used by the City of Concord Department of Fire and Life Safety.

Jacksonville FD Gets State of the Art Engine

JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Fire Department has a new tool to help it fight fires. A brand new fire truck features state of the art pumps which are electronically controlled, allowing firefighters to concentrate their efforts on more important tasks. It also has an additional 1,000 feet of hose and onboard tools used to help free people from wrecked vehicles.
