Detroit Firefighters Injured In Building Collapse

Dear Battalion Viewers: We are sorry to report that four Detroit Firefighters were injured In building collapse. Detroit Mayor Bing at Receiving Hospital (WDIV photo) Fire officials at the scene of a fire Friday morning on Detroit’s east side said six firefighters were hurt battling the blaze. Fire officials said four were in critical condition and two were in fair condition, with one firefighter having been paralyzed and another needing to be intubated. If you have been following this series, will have heard that they started as a single engine company. They had two fire stations, two firefighters and one phone hooked to both stations.
